This talk is about new features that are planned for future releases of CephFS. We commence by giving a quick introduction to the current state of CephFS, moving onto discuss some of the pain points that our users face and why some of the issues show up rather frequently in ceph-users mailing list. The next (Reef) release includes various stability improvements across CephFS client and server and delivers a long standing feature request from the community. Later we move on to discuss the much demanded features in CephFS that are planned for future releases. These features cover the broad scope of performance and usability.
